Membership Growth & Retention

This committee strives to increase membership according to the
standards provided in the bylaws. The committee considers all Membership
Applications and submits its recommendations to the board of directors.
The committee also develops an effective orientation and induction ceremony
for new members and promotes regular attendance by all members at club
meetings.

Finance & Fundraising

This committee is responsible for preparing a budget of
estimated income and expenses for submission to the board of directors, as
well as any recommendations it may have on financial matters to the club. It
is also responsible for securing the funds necessary to meet the budget
requirements. Generally, the committee plans a number of fundraisers to
meet the financial needs of the club however, BINGO is the club’s main
source of income.

The Committee on International & Public Relations is
responsible for helping to ensure that the public receives, through the
media and other means, the Objects, goals, programs, and achievements of
Kiwanis international and the club.

Service Leadership

The committee on Service Leadership devises ways and means to
establish and support Kiwanis Kids clubs in primary schools; Builders
clubs and Key clubs in secondary schools; Circle K
clubs in the universities and colleges; and Aktion clubs for adults with
disabilities. It should also encourage and promote the activities of all
Aktion Clubs, Kiwanis Kids, Builders Clubs, Key clubs and Circle K clubs
sponsored by the club. Usually the Kiwanis Advisors form part of the
committee.

The Committee on Community Services should implement projects on
the arts, business affairs, citizenship, civic improvement, community
beautification, conservation, health, international understanding, literacy,
public affairs, safety, or help for senior citizens and disabled persons.

Young Children Priority One

This committee is responsible for implementing projects for
children, prenatal through age five. Projects can address maternal and child
health, childcare, early development, nutrition, parenting education and
support, advocacy, pediatric trauma or safety.

This committee seeks to implement projects on the arts, business
affairs, citizenship, civic improvement, conservation, health, international
understanding, literacy, sports and public affairs for young persons in the

Human & Spiritual Values

The Committee on Human & Spiritual Values should implement
projects that support spiritual development, provide human companionship and
comfort, or offer counseling and guidance. Projects can encourage interfaith
and interdenominational religious activity, such as prayer, but should not
support a specific religious sect.

Bulletin Editor

The Bulletin Committee is responsible
for producing a weekly newsletter that keeps the members informed on the
goals, and achievements of the club. The newsletter should provide
communication with existing and possible past membership, a medium for
sharing the experiences of the club and projecting the activities in the
future months with the expectation that the members will participate in
their interested activities. The club has received the newsletter award from Kiwanis International on several occasions for producing an outstanding
bulletin.

Interclub

The Committee on Interclub is responsible for coordinating
visits to other
Kiwanis clubs, K-Kids Key clubs, Builders, Circle K meetings.
