Zelma Elaine Daisley was born on the 14th July 1969. Zelma is an Accounts Clerk at the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation and is the mother of a son, seven year old Zeryan. She holds a Diploma in Management Studies from BIMAP.
Zelma always expressed an interest in joining a service oriented club as helping and sharing with others has been a part of her DNA. When the opportunity arose she readily accepted the invitation and has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Barbados South since May 30, 2000.
During her formative years with the Kiwanis she continued to grow from strength to strength throughout the ranks of the club. She held the post of Director, Treasurer, Assistant Secretary Treasurer, Vice President and Secretary. She served as Secretary for the period 2005-2006 and 2012-2013. In November 2006 she earned the status of Distinguished Secretary. Moreover, she has served as a chairperson on many committees and in 2014 she was selected as Chairman of the Year.
In her younger years she played netball for Banks Spurs and represented Barbados as a junior and senior netball player, she has exhibited her skills as a hockey player for Avengers Club and is a past acolyte of the St. Cyprians Anglican Church. She enjoys her spare time by assisting with the development of her son, watching cricket and several outdoor sports or in attendance at a good party or a lime.
Zelma is a member of her alumnus The Garrison Alumni and a member of Carlton Club.
Her Christian faith and her upbringing in life allow her to interact with all different individuals from several social stratifications. These attributes make her a proud Kiwanian.
